Our flying sites are located within an active Ministry of Defence (MOD) property, and unannounced visits can pose serious safety and security risks.
Location & Access
- Base: Barry Buddon Training Area, ~6 miles east of Dundee, Scotland.
- Type: Active Ministry of Defence property — live firing and military aircraft activity are common.
- Access: Do not visit without prior arrangement unless attending an official “open” event (e.g., fly-ins).
- Safety: MOD may impose temporary model flying restrictions for safety; these are communicated to the club.
